The preceding parts and chapters merely provided prerequisites for various applications of data science.

This part contains the following chapters:

  • Chapter 19 introduces the notion of modeling;

  • Chapter 20 introduces basic simulations;

  • Chapter 21 introduces dynamic simulations;

  • Chapter 22 introduces models and simulations in the context of social situations;

  • Chapter 23 introduces predictive models; and

  • Chapter 24 discusses some options for using R for generative art.

  • Chapter 25 illustrates how we can use Shiny for building interactive applications.

Although most of these chapters are rather sketchy, this is where the real fun begins.
