One of the ways which we begin to dig deeper with faculty, staff and students is via one-on-one consultations. While there is no strict set of boundaries on what we provide consultations for some of the most common requests are research data management, using redcap to collect and manage data (setting up data collection instruments and exploring options to use it), locating secondary data, research computing ( data science topics like using R and Python, data wrangling, data visualization). We have found the consultations work well for folks to use us as a sounding board and to think through strategies to make their research projects more efficient and effective. The consultation is the opportunity to talk specifics about your project. We can touch on any of the topics we’ve discussed today in the context of your research project.
