4.4 Model Assessment and Reporting

In R, it is possible to assess the model fit of the extracted factors. Common fit indices available are the root mean square error of approximation (RMSEA), the root mean square of the residual (RMSR), and the Tucker-Lewis index (TLI). values of RMSR and RMSEA less than 0.08 are considered acceptable, and values of TLI above 0.90 are acceptable fit index (Hu and Bentler 1999).
