1.2 QuickMapServices (QMS)
QuickMapServices (QMS) is an open catalog of geodata sources developed by NextGIS14, that can be added to GIS software such as QGIS.
In QGIS the QMS has a downloadable plugin which enables to load multiple geographical layers to the user interface.
QMS include the following services:
1.TMS - Tile Map Service.
2.WMS - Web Map Service.
3.WFS - Web Feature Service.
4.GeoJSON - geodata in GeoJSON format.
In this guide, we will use QMS to validate the building rooftops areas calculated in QGIS and to digitize building rooftops for the sampling analysis. For more information on QMS click here.
