3.1 Basic pre-requisites
The basic pre-requisites for learning to to tell a Dad joke is that you need to:
- Have no shame.
- Be prepared to be groaned at, perhaps behind your back (see Fig. 2.3).
- Be prepared to gain a reputation as a Dad-joke teller.
These are not onerous pre-requisites for most Dads, who often have no class already.
Although not confined to being told by Dads, Dad’s often have no self-respect anyway7 so are prime candidates for learning to tell Dad jokes.
A dad is washing his car with his son. The son says: “Dad, can’t you use a sponge?”
