Lecture 2

While performing a statistical investigation you should start by asking the right research question, choosing the right variable(s) and proceeding to collect the right data. As statisticians, we often we already have the data, and thus our primary job would be to make sure that the data can be used to answer the question of interest. We then proceed to model building, model fitting and model checking. In this lecture, we will define a linear regression model.
