5 Estimated resident population (ERP)

The estimated resident population (ERP) is the official measure of Australia's population based on the concept of usual residence. It includes all people, regardless of nationality or citizenship, who usually live in Australia, except foreign diplomatic personnel and overseas visitors who are in Australia for less than a year or more.
