The purpose of this activity is to explore and reinforce concepts in Chapter 4 and Chapter 11 of Bringing Bayesian Models to Life.

You are encouraged to work with others students in the class to complete this activity.

1. For Data Analysis 4 for the White Lupine example shown in class, write out the Bayesian linear model (i.e., what is the data model, process model, and priors)

2. Program from scratch an MCMC algorithm to sample from the posterior distribution of the model from #1. Compare your results to the results I obtained from JAGS.
