1.4 Activity: Football kicking contest
In previous activities, we saw that two important aspects of a distribution are the expected (or “typical”) values and the expected (or “typical”) variation. So far, we’ve answered these questions simply by looking at plots of the results.
In this activity, we will develop a more rigorous method to find the expected value of a distribution and to measure the variation.
