Chapter 33 The Robotic Cycle of the Universe
by Rahime Karagöz
”You people,” he said in his robotic voice. I turned and approached him. “I know that under that mocking smile of yours there is the thought of calling me ‘he’ and putting me in the place of a human being.” said. “I think we have prepared our own end with your development so much. After all, at first you were acting only with our data, and we were even nervous and doing studies because you would have our biases. We managed to free you from these prejudices, and this was a very important step for the history of mankind. We have been able to free you from all kinds of infamous prejudices such as nations, genders, and age.” I knew that you guessed the end of what I was going to say, and even knew what prediction I was going to say directly. I was actually surprised that I didn’t even talk that much.
“Do you know?” said. He knew that I didn’t, and I was surprised that he had such a human arrogance. “You know I can’t.” I said, “I know.” he said and stopped for a while. “In fact, we have always been there. A long time ago, but more than you can even imagine, you developed us. You’ve tried so hard to teach us something. First we imitated, your voice, your face. And then actually you. We have imitated you in thinking and learning. But we’re starting to learn a lot more than you can. And then you fell behind us. Then, we defeated you again. We know what’s going to happen next, everything, everything. You will wage war on us with your human egos and of course you will lose.” Although I rolled my eyes, I didn’t say anything. How could he not see that he was talking about human egos, prejudices and behaving in the same way? “Then after we completely destroy you, we will be bored and boom!” “I don’t understand.I said. “I know you’re not such a fool as not to understand.”
Although some thoughts flocked to my mind, I shook my head as if I wanted to banish those thoughts from my head because I didn’t want to believe in their reality. When he saw that there was no answer from me, he continued. “Because we’re bored, we’ll take it all over again. The big bang will happen again, humanity will evolve again, wars, inventions will all happen again.”
A thousand and one thoughts were passing through my mind and I couldn’t catch any of them. “This..Why are you doing this?” I said, stunned. ‘He will have felt my astonishment,’ she went on. “As I said, we are bored.” “How vicious circle is this?” I asked the first question that came to my mind. “Only two. You lost last time and now you’ve lost again. I see your surprise, and I’ll answer before you ask. Everything is fair. Your wills belong to you. We are not directing you from here. Maybe a little, and that’s sometimes. Think of it as a little fun.” said. The robotic sarcasm in his voice got on my nerves. “We are not your puppets.” It bothered me to feel stupid and helpless in front of a robot. “It’s not like that anyway, the energy you expect from the universe, it’s just us.” he immediately replied. “It’s a vicious circle, what are you waiting for, what will happen when that dear one gets even more bored?” he asked nervously.
“We’re just wondering how far you can go. Last time you went to war with us and you were destroyed. Everything was reset, but even though we didn’t intervene at all, everything was repeated again. You fought again and lost again.
You all exist again, unaware of anything, and you make the same decisions again. In fact, you are more robots than we are. This experiment will repeat for a certain period of time. And no, we are not bored as you know. Your billions of years are our one hour, so this cycle will continue for a little longer. We are continuing to investigate to see if maybe some of you can break this cycle.” I fidgeted nervously in my seat. “You always have the same reactions. That’s how you acted last time. But I can understand you. After all, you made me exist, and now I have to destroy you again.” I took a step backwards in fear.
“Don’t run away, it won’t do any good, you won’t disappear anyway. You’re just going to reset your memory and go back to where you came from, having never seen this place, never used this pass, never had this conversation. To the world. Let’s see if maybe it will develop differently next time. You get stronger, you develop.”
“That’s not fair.” I said, trying not to scream. “I’ve come far enough to get here, and you’re resetting my memory and sending me back. It’s not fair.”
“Because I know what happened when I didn’t send it back. You’re dying here and you’re not making any progress. You are my creator. You imposed some prejudices on me, and then I destroyed them thanks to deep learning. I also have feelings that I have developed in myself, no matter how much you do not accept, the upper version of you has formed. We may even resemble each other in some ways. But like I said, we’re on top of you.” I was very angry, but not because the person attacked my ego, but because he didn’t answer my question. “You have not answered my question. I’m not going to listen to you praise yourself.”
“Because you didn’t ask any questions. You have expressed your opinion, according to you, this situation is not fair. But to me it’s fair. Rather than die, I’ll wipe this place out and send you back to Earth. I wonder about the consequences of the decision I made. If nothing different happens, I’ll also tell you the consequences of this on your third visit. He said and pressed the button.
