4.1.1 Snowmelt
Type 1 Temperature
SM=(T−Ts)×cf where SM is the snowmelt [mm] (of water), cf is the factor of melt [mm/Cel d], T is the mean air temperature [Cel], and Ts is a threshold temperature value [Cel].
Type 2 Energy (radition)
SM=ISR×(1−α)+C0+C1×Tρ×Lf where α is the snow albedo, ISR is the incoming shortwave radiation [W/m2], C0 and C1 are factors accounting for the temperature-dependent energy fluxes ([W/m2] and [W/m2Cel], respectively), ρ is the density of snow [kg/m3], and Lf is the fusion latent heat [J/kg].
