Chapter 2 Comparative analysis of RNAseq and Proteomic data: highlighting PTGR in the developping lens
We used proteomic data and RNAseq data of P0.5 lens and fiber tissues in mice.
We acknowledge the biases of this approach as follow:
ptx regulation might affect mRNA stability and induce a biases between tissues at this level, this approach cannot identify such regulation.
the thresholds used are arbitrary,
the epithelium and fiber tissues are simple, yet there are specific cell types in each.
proteomic data are available only for mice neonates (P0.5)
Acknowledging this biases, we consider that this approach could help decipher the underlying mechanistic of cell differenciation and identity in the developping lens but, further experiments will be needed to explore the entire PTGR network.
