Article 11 - Strikes

Section 11.1 - Calling a Strike

The Executive Board has the authority to call a special meeting of the general membership for the purpose of announcing intent to call a strike vote and holding a public discussion of the matter among members.

Section 11.2 - Strike Vote

The strike vote is to be carried out by referendum, as described in Section 6.4(b) Section 6.4. The result of voting will be valid once eighty percent (80%) of the membership has cast their vote, and will remain open for at least three (3) days and until that threshold has been met or voting has been open for ten (10) days, whichever happens first; a vote may only be closed before three (3) days upon full (100%) response from the membership. The outcome of the vote is decided by three-fourths (3⁄4) majority.

Section 11.3 - Call-off

A strike has come to an end if, and only if, an agreement is met with PSU administration and a contract is ratified by the general membership.
