6 Conclusion - The Human Adventure is Priceless
While we didn’t win the prize for profitability, we did win the first prize for the best team of partners. In four years, I don’t recall a single disagreement with Jawad, the top Data Science expert and an exceptional manager. He led a team of over ten developers and experts in France, Morocco, and Cameroon, making Theolex one of the cutting-edge tools in the industry. His kindness and the efficient yet discreet support of his wife, Clémentine, contributed to Theolex’s communication.
Over the course of six years, with Paola, not a shadow has tarnished our deep friendship that extends beyond the startup. We have gone through the ups and downs of this entrepreneurial journey together, supporting each other in moments of doubt and celebrating our successes. Our bond has been one of the pillars of our company.
The startup would have never been able to take off without Anicet, my nephew, and my niece Marie-Esther, who brought their energy and affection to turn me into a “senior entrepreneur.” Their enthusiasm and commitment were a source of inspiration for me, and they successfully founded their own startup, Koalou.
What more can I say about Joydeep, who devoted countless hours of work on top of his other activities to encourage and communicate within his global network. His passion and dedication to Theolex were crucial in promoting our product worldwide. He became a true ambassador for our company, and countries that have yet to have the chance to meet Joydeep are unaware of what Theolex is.
Blaine, an American who speaks French as fluently as any native, humbly made himself available to us. His intelligence and humanity make him a valuable asset to our team. He generously shares his knowledge and even teaches at Sciences Po, contributing to the education of future generations of entrepreneurs.
Lastly, it was thanks to Julie that I discovered the strength of American optimism that drives one to surpass oneself. Brilliant both inside and out, Julie has been a driving force for our team. Her positive energy and ambition have been contagious, pushing all of us to give our best.
This exceptional team of partners, bound by friendship, trust, and mutual respect, has been the key to our success thus far. Each individual has brought their skills, dedication, and unwavering support, contributing to making Theolex a reality and overcoming challenges along the way. Together, we have formed a strong and united team, ready to face any future challenges.
As I look back, I realize how much my colleagues from the bank, who have become precious friends, played an essential role in Theolex’s journey. Their presence, support, and friendship have been solid pillars throughout the entire journey.
With Corinne, Geneviève, Odile, Nathalie, Sophie, and many others, we grew together, sharing our experiences, knowledge, and aspirations. Beyond numbers and financial goals, we understood that the company was a place where human relationships are forged and dreams come to life.
The creation of Theolex would not have been possible without them. Their contribution has been immense, to the point of renaming the startup “Startine.” This new name reflected our determination to innovate, make a real difference, and express our creativity.
Finally, I had the extraordinary chance to cross paths with Pierre five years ago. I dared to interrupt him by asking the question: “Pierre, I’m taking the risk of bothering you to present a startup idea. Could you tell me if it makes sense? My decision to launch Theolex will depend on your opinion.” I’ll let you guess the answer.
