Chapter 13 A Peer review

by LAHR

The Resonance of Healing

Dr. Edward Bach, the creator of the Bach Flower Remedies, following the theosophical teachings, established that “Health is the result of the conflict between the Soul and the personality. By resolving this conflict and restoring the influx of the Soul (or superior Source) to the personality, we can produce sound from within.” (paraphrasis, quote from memory)

Perhaps a note clarifying that old karma (personal, familial, racial, etc.), miasmas, war effects (psychological, chemical, nuclear/etheric), cosmic influences, and so on, as you describe at the end, are contributors to disease. Because of this, advanced human beings, such as saints, swamis, and disciples, among others, experience diseases instead of achieving spiritual advancement.

Chapter 1 Chi and Prana

Contrasting Chinese and Indian Approaches to Health, Disease, and Healing

Interestingly, Tibetan Traditional Medicine (TTM) is a comprehensive and standardized corpus of knowledge, methodologies, and practices that integrates both Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Ayurveda (Hindu medicine), as well as Buddhism, Taoism, and Traditional Shamanism, along with a particular form of astrology, synthesizing Vedic and Chinese astrological traditions.

1.1 Chinese Medicine: Balance and Flow

There is a correlation between the five elements in TCM (also present in TTM) and the five wisdoms of the mind (associated with the five families of Buddhas/Bodhisattvas). The five elements are subtle but more associated with chi than with light (following the association used for this study), while the five wisdoms are more associated with light than with chi.

Chapter 2 The Foundation of Energy

2.4.1 Healing Devas

The Mother of the World

AVM = Compass and Square + Columns and Chalice = Spirit and Matter = A perfect symbol to illustrate the concept of how the Plan is materialized… “Matter is spirit at its lowest level. Spirit is matter at its highest level.”

AVM = Ave Virgin Mater = Salutations to our Virgin Mother

AVM = Admirabilis Virgin Mater, which comes from the formula Mater Ter Admirabilis = Three Times Admirable Mother (MMM)

MMM = Maitreya, Mother, Matter

Chapter 3 The Human Frame as an Energy Nexus

3.1 Energy Intake Pathways

Through the Nose (Lungs for Prana/Air Chi)

Besides pranayama, shamatha (the meditation on breath, a component of modern mindfulness practice) could also be included.

Chapter 4 The Heart ← This was one of my favorite parts.

4.1 The Heart as a Common Pathway

Emotional and Spiritual Role Dividing this section into two will highlight the heart’s dual functions: lower-function emotional and higher-function intuitional, thereby connecting this section with the following one (4.2):

  1. Emotional Role On an emotional level, the heart is the seat of feelings, from love and empathy to courage and resilience.

  2. Spiritual Role On a spiritual level, the heart is not more related to feelings, but instead has a higher capacity to comprehend and understand the world through intuition.

Energetically, it resonates as a space of unity, binding us to ourselves and the world. The subtle interplay of chi and soul light within the heart fosters an awakening to our higher purpose, guiding each individual toward greater self-realization and connection with the broader web of life.

4.2 The Yoga of Synthesis

4.2.1 Profound Attentiveness This section reminds me of the dual function of the hearth in Agni Yoga, serving as both a Chalice and a Shield. You have already explained the Chalice function in your own words. The Shield function and its relation with the immune system and protection from disease could be added.

Chapter 6 TCM and Chakras

6.3 Meridians vs. Nadis

Could it be useful to emphasize that besides the seven major chakras, there are countless minor chakras that can be equated with the acupuncture points?

Chapter 7 Healing at the Soul Level

new section 7.4 Transformative Power of E-motion and Affections

7.7 Recap

7.7.7 Principles of Love and Compassion in Healing ← This subsection elicits an immediate response from the soul of the potential healer.
