2.3 Bar Charts

Bar charts are a useful way to graphically present categorical data.

If preferred, bar charts can display relative frequencies instead, as follows:

It is worth noting that the shape of both charts looks exactly the same. The difference is in the scale on the \(y\) (vertical) axis: in the second chart, it represents percentages rather than frequencies.
