1 Introduction
All of Us, led by NIH, is one of the world’s largest and most diverse biomedical datasets. The program’s goal is to promote equitable precision medicine that reflects the rich diversity of the United States.
1.1 Registration
The University of Idaho has an institutional Data Use and Registration Agreement (DURA) in place, maintained by Dr. Russell Baker, the director of the Idaho Office of Underserved and Rural Medical Research. This means that UI-affiliated researchers and students can create an account for the Researcher Workbench which is a platform to access All of Us data and perform analyses.
All of Us offers three data access levels.
- Public Tier: aggregate-level data that can be accessed via Data Browser.
- Registered Tier: data that poses a low risk to the privacy of participants and can be accessed after logging into the Researcher Workbench.
- Controlled Tier: data that poses significant risk, and includes genomic data.
UI has a controlled tier level access, which requires additional training as part of the registration process but allows full access to the extensive database.
