Chapter 1 Welcome! :)
You are reading the lecture notes of the
R lectures for the Coding for Data Science (C4DS) course at University of Bergamo (academic year 2021/22). C4DS is the first module of the course named Coding and Machine Learning (see here for more details).
R lectures are designed for students who already have a programming background thanks to the first part of the C4DS course dedicated to Python. In this part of the module we will introduce
R programming language for data science (including data manipulation, data visualization and communication).
