Software Update

To successfully install R, your operating system must be fully updated. Follow the instructions below before proceeding to the R installation.

Mac OS

Choose Apple menu  > System Settings. Click General on the left side of the System Settings window, then click Software Update on the right and click Update Now.

Windows

To check for updates, select Start > Settings > Windows Update, then select Check for updates.
