Analysis
1 Abstract
Does money buy everything? This is a question that we can ask ourselves and especially when we talk about the movie industry where money, success and appearance are often highlighted. Through this project, we want to see if there is a relationship between the budget allocated to a specific movie and the profits generated by it. We will also compare this relationship through several aspects such as movie genres, main characters & production studios. After our analysis, our models showed a significant positive relationship between budget & profits. This relationship differs when compared to the different movie genres (some genres show a higher relationship than others, and 2 genres seems to not have a clear correlation between the two variables of our model). We also discovered that there is not a significant difference between the correlation of budget in profits when comparing the production studios.
