Chapter 6 Landing page Design

6.1 Introduction

A landing page serves a specific purpose in a specific moment of an advertising campaign to a target audience (mailchimp, 2020). According to Mailchimp, there are two types of landing pages: Lead generation landing pages and Click-through landing pages (mailchimp, 2020). We will be exploring a few free landing page design tools in this module.

Most people assume that a landing page is designed to collect email addresses. However, there are a handful of things a landing page can do for a business: refering new affiliates consistently delivering messages with unique offers and touch point automation along the full life cycle of the service *using data and content to enhance targeting and presence in different channels.

Studies have shown that “business websites with 10-15 landing pages tend to increase conversions by 55% over business websites with less than 10 landing pages. And those with more than 40 landing pages increase conversions by over 500%”(WishPond, 2020)
