Chapter 1 About this document

This is the task book for the SWBio Bioinformatics course. This book summarises the tasks that you should work through during the workshops. The first three workshops are planned to be in-person with the instructor(s) present. During those in-person workshops there will be time to complete at least some of the tasks.

Later in the week there are remote self-study sessions where you work at your own pace and the instructor(s) will be available for support via the Slack channel. During those self-study sessions, you should complete any unfinished tasks from the first four (in-person) workshops and work on your assessed coursework.

There will be plenty of time during the sessions for discussion with the instructor(s) and try out additional ideas and analyses.
